Another team that had an amazing season is the U16 Girls!!! Finished with an 8-0 record for the regular season, played in the Super Liga finals, won their division at the Portsmouth Tournament going 3-0-1 and gave up 0 goals for the entire tournament. What a team!!!
The finals to the Super Liga Skills challenge was held this week and BGYSA was represented by four players. Each of them were one of the top two at one of the four regional challenges which invited them back tonight. Regardless of the results we are proud of all of them!!!! Great showing boys!!!!!!
2012 Super Liga U12 Girls Runner-Up

Our U11 boys team went 3-1 at their tournament and finished second scoring 22 goals and only giving up 6 goals!! Great job boys!!
U12 girls -second place at the North Kingstown Fathers Day Tournament!! Again we say to this team great job on an amazing season!!!!
U14 boys team - Went unbeaten with 3 wins & 1 tie at the Portsmouth Fathers Day tournament...went to the final and placed 2nd! Great effort team!!
This weekend we had some teams travel around the state to represent BGYSA at the Soccer Rhode Island U8/U10 Festival. Teams were able to play two friendly games to honor Megan Cordeiro, a young Tiverton soccer player who lost her courageous battle with cancer.

Our U8 Boys team had a great time in Tiverton and are proud to show their trophies and more importantly their smiles!!! Great job team in an amazing season!

Memorial Day weekend had some of our teams traveling to soccer tournaments around New England and they all showed that BGYSA has great teams! We are proud of all of our teams!

Need to mention our U12 Boys team who went to the Memorial Day Classic in Amherst, NH. They won their first three games with shut-outs (amazing!) and went on to win their semi-final game. In the final they played thru two 5 minute overtimes and then suffered a loss after NINE penalty kicks. Boys - there is no doubt that you are champions to us!

Congratulations to the U12 Girls...session two CHAMPIONS!!!!
The BGYSA U12 Boys team are champions of the U12A WWIS second session!! Each of the three games they played were tough battles. After just a five minute rest from a hard fought 25 minute game, they took on Central Falls in the final game. The boys wouldn't let any exhaustion show and ended the game with an overtime winning goal! Great job team!!!
The BGYSA U10 Boys team had a good showing in their finals at WWIS and ended up finishing second on a tough 1-0 loss. They should be proud for playing strong in each of their games and representing themselves and BGYSA well!!

Congratulations to the U10 Boys team and Coach Deady for winning the Thanksgiving Tournament held at the Wide World of Indoor Sports on November 26th. Great job boys on winning all five games!!!
