Fall 2010 Recreational Soccer Information
Q: When
does the fall soccer season begin?
A: The 2010 Fall
soccer season officially begins August 1st.
Q: When
will my child hear from a coach?
A: Registered players will receive a
call from a coach at the beginning of the season. If you do not receive a
call by the middle of August, contact our Recreational Director (recdir@bgysa.org) or Dawn Nault (registrar-rec@bgysa.org) at
710-7082. Please don’t call before then, many coaches are on vacation in
the summer and will call you as soon as they can.
Q:
Do you provide any team listings on your website?
A: A player listing, with team
assignment will be posted on the BGYSA website once completed. A team
listing, with coach assignment will also be posted once available. Teams with no coach listed indicates that BGYSA is still
looking for coaches for those teams. These listings are usually
posted around mid-to-late July. Please
note that team assignments will not be adjusted once posted.
Q:
Can anyone coach a team?
A: Anyone can coach a recreational
soccer team, and you don’t need to know a lot about soccer to coach. Coaches training is provided.
If you would like
to coach a team, please register
on-line and fill out the Volunteer registration form. BGYSA had over
75 teams last year which means we need many volunteers to make this
