Competitive Season

The BGYSA Select Soccer Program caters to competitive players within the Association. With a track record of nurturing skilled soccer talents, BGYSA has witnessed players advancing to collegiate levels and embracing coaching roles. Several of our players feature on Olympic Development Regional Teams, showcasing our program's caliber. Recent times have seen Select program members and coaches garner accolades, and BGYSA consistently excels in the RI Cup State Championships. Acknowledging diverse player aspirations, we determine competitive team selection based on skill and dedication, understanding that not everyone pursues a competitive path.

Join us for BGYSA's Competitive season tryouts beginning mid-June at the BGYSA Soccer Complex in Chepachet. The season comprises of two indoor sessions and one outdoor spring session, providing an ideal chance for players to enhance their skills. If your child has a passion for soccer and aims to elevate their game, this competitive journey is for them. We welcome recreational players to explore the rewarding world of competitive soccer. Don't miss the opportunity to be part of something exceptional!

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

BGYSA will be holding mandatory try-outs for the 2025/2026 Competitive season on Monday May 19, Tuesday May 20, and Thursday May 22, at the BGYSA Soccer Complex on Rt 44 in Chepachet.  Please note that this year we will be requiring new players (who have not previously played on a BGYSA competitive team) attend two dates to ensure there is sufficient time to observe the players skill level in order to be placed appropriately.  Returning players will only be required to attend one.

The 2025/2026 Competitive season consists of 2 indoor sessions that run from November through March and 1 outdoor spring session that runs April through June.  The competitive season is a great opportunity if your child is interested in playing more and improving in soccer.  We would love to see more recreational players try-out for competitive soccer.
